About Us
What INCLUDED NEWS is
INCLUDED NEWS is an independent general news publication. We cover the stories that shape a normal day: world events and breaking news first, and alongside them business, entertainment, science, sports, technology, lifestyle, travel, auto and gaming. The name is the promise. If it matters to how you work, spend, relax or plan, it is included here.
We are a new publication, and we would rather say that plainly than pretend otherwise. There is no decade of archives behind this site and no legacy brand propping it up. What you see is what we have published since launch, and every one of those pages had to meet the same standard on day one that we intend to hold on day one thousand.
Why we started it
Most news readers today live between two bad options. One is the giant portal that covers everything but buries the actual news under autoplay video, notification spam and fifteen trackers per page. The other is the narrow niche site that covers one topic well and nothing else, so you need eight tabs to feel informed. We wanted the middle path: one clean site where a reader can get the day’s world and breaking news plus a sensible read on business, tech, sport and culture, written by people who checked what they wrote.
Being new is also an advantage we intend to use. We have no bad old habits to defend, no legacy ad deals shaping coverage, and no archive of outdated claims to quietly ignore. Our rules were written before our first story, not retrofitted after a scandal.
What we cover, and how
Our desk structure is simple:
- World and breaking news: the core of the site. Fast when we can be, but never faster than we can verify. A developing story is labeled as developing, and updates are marked as updates.
- Business: markets, companies, economies and what they mean for ordinary budgets. Reporting, not investment advice.
- Science and technology: research, products and platforms, explained without hype. A single study is a single study, and we say so.
- Entertainment, sports, lifestyle, travel, auto and gaming: the culture and consumer desks. Lighter in tone, held to the same sourcing standard.
Every story tells you where its facts came from. When we rely on a wire report, an official statement, a court filing or another outlet’s reporting, we link or name it. When something is unconfirmed, the word unconfirmed appears in the text, not in our private notes.
Who is behind it
INCLUDED NEWS is produced by a small independent editorial team. We do not publish individual staff names, because a small team on the open internet has learned what happens to small teams on the open internet. What we lose in bylines we try to repay in accountability: the publication as a whole answers for every word, and the editor responsible for standards reads the inbox at support@includednews.com personally. Details on who owns the site and how it is funded are on our Ownership & Funding page, and the rules we write under are on our Editorial Standards & Ethics page.
How the site makes money
Advertising and, in some product oriented articles, affiliate links. That is the whole model. No investor sets our coverage, no political organisation funds us, and no advertiser sees a story before you do. Ads are labeled as ads, affiliate relationships are disclosed on the pages where they exist, and the wall between the commercial side and the editorial side is described in detail on the Ownership & Funding page. If that wall ever moves, we will say so there first.
When we get things wrong
We will. Every news organisation does, and a fast moving breaking desk does it more often than a monthly magazine. What we can control is what happens next. Errors are corrected quickly, corrections are labeled visibly on the story itself, and significant corrections explain what was wrong, not just what is now right. The full procedure, including how to report an error and what response times to expect, is on our Corrections Policy page. We treat a reader who catches our mistake as a contributor, not a nuisance.
What we ask of you
Read critically, including here. Check our links. If a claim looks wrong, tell us at support@includednews.com and we will look into it. A news site earns trust one accurate story at a time, and a brand new one starts at zero. That is the honest position, and it is the one we are building from.
