Winter Is The Best Time For A Workout Routine

During the colder months, it’s tempting to stay in bed until noon and binge-watch Netflix all weekend long. But if you want to get in better shape before the summer, make a workout routine that is perfectly tailored to these chillier times!

Her are just a few of the best exercises to incorporate into your winter workout regimen:

  • Walking or jogging. A nice, long walk outside, or even a jog on a treadmill, is a wonderful way to warm your body in the winter!
  • Skiing or snowboarding. You can spend the whole day having fun rather than staying indoors for hours!
  • Yoga or Tai Chi. Any exercise that promotes relaxing stretching is fantastic during the winter, when the muscles are cold and not used to being exerted!
  • Boxing. If you want to have some fun and stay in shape at the same time, boxing is one of the best choices available!

Working out in the winter is good for you for all sorts of reasons. Even Harvard agrees!

A Great Time To Build Your First Igloo

When was the last time you built an igloo? Probably never! Now is as good a time as any to try it out, so get out there and build to coolest igloo of all time.

To Build Your Own Igloo, You’ll Need The Following Supplies:

  • Lots of snow.
  • A sturdy shovel to scoop up the snow.
  • A brick mold to shape and make the bricks.
  • A stick to draw the outline in the snow.

Even if you don’t know where to start, there are tons of in-depth tutorials online to help you!

Pond Hockey, Anybody

If you haven’t heard of pond hockey, you either don’t live in a snowy place or have been living under a rock. Pond hockey is an immensely popular winter sport, and it is played just about everywhere during the holiday season!

When you want to play hockey but don’t have an arena available, just look for a pond! It should be frozen over, but make sure that it is sturdy enough to play on. Once you find the perfect body of water, you’ll need to find some people to play with, and gather a puck and some sturdy hockey sticks. Go out there and have the time of your life!

Hot Cocoa And A Book By The Fire

One of my favorite winter activities is sitting by the fireplace with a good book, a hot drink, and a warm blanket. There’s nothing like reading a great story and sipping hot cocoa on a cold night!

There are so many good books out there, and it can be hard to decide which one to read. My favorite genre is mystery—I love reading along and guessing who the murderer is. I also love romance, thriller, and science fiction novels. It depends on my mood!

Reading is one of my favorite activities, and it keeps my mind sharp!

Winter Is Perfect For A Facelift

Believe it or not, one of the most popular things to do during the winter season is get a mini facelift. Big, bundled, layered outfits are perfect for shrouding recovery symptoms—bandages don’t stick out like they normally do! By the time spring arrives, you’ll emerge from your cocoon like a beautiful butterfly and spread your wings.

It has never been easier to fight against the signs of aging!
